A new national survey of US News and World Report‘s 360 Reviews reveals that four in five Americans (81%) have adjusted their spending due to inflation, and 84% say they are worried about the impact of inflation on this holiday season. year.

To better understand the impact of inflation on consumers’ saving and buying habits, US News used a third-party survey platform to survey 2,000 American adults. He asked US respondents about their coupon habits, their 2022 holiday shopping plans, and more. Survey responses have been weighted to be representative of the US population.

“Our latest survey clearly shows that Americans are flocking to digital coupons and similar digital tools to save money due to the impact of inflation on their wallets,” said Alexandra Kellychief editor, 360 Offers. Kelly adds, “And they seem to be helping. In fact, an overwhelming 91% of American consumers who use coupon sites, apps, and/or browser extensions say they’ve saved money from these digital resources — and half of Americans (51%) declare that they absolutely plan to use digital coupons and similar online money-saving tools to help with their holiday shopping this year.

Additional survey highlights include:

• More than half of Americans (58%) are looking for coupons at least once a week.

• Three in four Americans (76%) have searched for digital coupons while grocery.

• US consumers prefer online shopping on Black Friday, followed by Amazon Prime Day, which won over Cyber ​​Monday.

• Half of Americans (51%) follow coupon blogs and social media accounts.
