Grateful for Az’s startup ecosystem

I am so grateful that there are organizations like StartupAZ that focus on connecting founders, partners, and resources to drive performance and foster support for startups in our community. Starting a business is never easy, but having a strong network of advocates, fellow business owners, and subject matter experts is essential. As a tech founder, there are myriad things that need to be managed, planned, and maintained every day. Being part of a startup ecosystem is a gift that keeps on being given, and I’m very grateful for that.

Grateful to have moved to Arizona

Identified PHX as an ideal hub for our US headquarters. The accessibility of flight routes to our customers’ destinations was a key factor. Others focused on cost of living (affordability compared to other centers) and quality of life (liveability). I personally brought my family from Canada and the impact on the quality of life was significant.

Highly recommend the greater Phoenix area for other technology/software companies to consider HQ.

Grateful to live and work in AZ

Living and working in Scottsdale, AZ has been a big and welcome change for me. Our business is spread across the globe, with 6 global offices. While travel is essential to what we do and how we work with private equity clients, coming home to Scottsdale each week has been a real source of joy for me. The community here has been welcoming to CEOs and founders, and something I will cherish for many years to come.

Grateful for the growth we saw in 2022

I am grateful that we were able to continue to “GR0er” our business, despite launching at the height of the pandemic. Seeing that our team has grown to meet business demands has been a great indicator of our hard work and dedication. It’s truly amazing how we’ve developed a hybrid team that delivers to our clients while justifying our place in the world of digital marketing. Our entire team looks forward to continuing to outperform you in 2023 and beyond.

Grateful for the little things

These days, I find myself grateful for the little things. In truth, I am always grateful for family, friendship and health. Today, however, I am especially grateful for the sun, a comfortable reading chair, and my home. I try to take time each day to reflect on what I’m grateful for so that on difficult days I can look back on past gratitude and remember everything I have in my life to be grateful for.

Grateful for a co-founder who compliments my skills

I am grateful to have a co-founder who perfectly complements my skills. Of the many internet businesses I’ve started and sold, I’ve always been a solo founder. With SquidVision, I finally decided to bring in a co-founder and couldn’t be more grateful. My skills are in marketing and business growth, while his is in software design and analytics. It’s such a relief not to have to worry about that side of things so I can focus on growing.

Grateful for inspiring partners

Our software development team is based in Ukraine and seeing firsthand how they responded to the tragedies of 2022 has emboldened me in many ways. I had the opportunity to stay more connected to their cause and help raise funds for their needs, but they also inspired me to show up every day with a good attitude. If they are able to be cheerful and cordial with whatever is going on in their lives, I have no excuse.

Grateful for the feeling of peace

It may sound trite, but this year I’m so grateful for the sense of peace I’ve cultivated within me. Just a few years ago when the global pandemic hit, many of us were shaken by it in every way, from work to personal. For me it was all of the above.

I lived in a constant fight or flight state for 2 years straight and it seemed impossible to get out of this hole I had fallen into. This difficult situation forced me to learn and build new tools within myself and to find a sense of balance and grounding that I had never achieved in my life before. As a result, I feel unshakable. I relentlessly protect my peace by questioning and, in some cases, eliminating any or all who challenge it. This has been the most liberating and transformative skill to date.

Grateful for the new opportunity and change

As a digital marketer, I’m grateful for new opportunities coming from an increasingly digital world. With change comes opportunity and I am fortunate to be positioned in several highly unsaturated opportunities. It’s really exciting and motivating to see what I do impact my income and the lives of others! I dub YouTube content, blogging, member content, affiliate marketing, and creative courses!
