Lehigh Valley Public Media Announces John Moser as Deputy News Director


LEHIGH VALLEY, PA. – July 29, 2022 – Lehigh Valley Public Media today announced that John J. Moser has joined the organization as Deputy News Director.

Moser worked more than 30 years at The Morning Call, including 17 as an editor supervising reporters in Allentown, Bethlehem, Lehighton and Quakertown. In addition to managing news crews and coordinating coverage, Moser has extensive experience as an entertainment writer and music critic. In 2020, the Lehigh Valley Music Awards presented him with his first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award in Music Writing.

VP of News Jim Deegan said: “John will be an integral part of streamlining our workflow, developing our newsgathering strategies, building an audience and promoting news. a productive and fulfilling environment as we strive to be a leader in Lehigh Valley news coverage.”

As one of the main reporter supervisors on the news team, Moser will report to News Director Jen Rehill.
