Little Theater of Owatonna announces exceptional lineup for the season

Light, camera, action! The Little Theater of Owatonna is gearing up for an exciting year of theatrical performances.

The 2021-2022 season begins in fall 2021 and ends in summer 2022. This will be LTO’s 56th season!

The Marvelous Wonderettes, directed by Bev Cashman, will take place October 14-17 and October 21-24.

Every Christmas spectacle ever told (and then some), directed by Zackery Knapton, runs December 3-5 and December 10-12.

Joyful spirit, directed by Kathy Rush, will run from February 11 to 13 and from 18 to 20.

Something Rotten !, directed by Jeffrey Jackson, will run from April 21 to 24 and from April 28 to May 1.

The color of the stars, directed by Shelley Fitzgerald, runs June 10-12 and June 17-19.

I have to admit that I am a lover of live theater! I can’t contain my enthusiasm for Something Rotten! I first saw the show in Minneapolis at the Orpheum, and it was remarkable. It will be so cool to see LTO take the series and make it their own.

Owatonna’s Little Theater is looking for 16 children, 8-16 years old, to complete the cast of the last show of the 2020-2021 season, Crumpled fairy tales, directed by Sarah Friesen. Auditions are Saturday June 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Sunday June 6 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Sharon Stark Audition in West Hills.

The performances will take place on July 16-18 and 23-25.

More details on productions, auditions and tickets will be available on the Little Theater of Owatonna website as the dates approach.
