New Guide! Raspberry Pi SSD Media Server “Adafruit Industries – Makers, Hackers, Artists, Designers and Engineers!”


Build your own media server using Raspberry Pi 4 and an external SSD. Stream live TV and movies with Plex using the Chromium web browser, or install any other network player/streaming software to run on this all-in-one Pi server the size of a lunch box.

Use an SSD to store all your media and get blazing fast read and write speeds using a SATA to USB 3.0 cable.

Build a 3D printed case inspired by the PC tower. Secure the Pi and additional accessories such as a 1.9 inch TFT display, 5V fan, 2 buttons and power switch with LED.

The side panels attach to the frame, making it a modular design for easy access. The case features a handle with a print-in-place hinge for transport.

Use the 1.9-inch color TFT screen to view your media servers IP address, CPU temperature, or memory/disk usage using CircuitPython libraries for Raspberry Pi OS.

Also, loop GIF images on the screen and navigate through them using the built-in buttons.
