Penn State University Press announces lineup of virtual author events for fall 2021


UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – Penn State University Press has announced the Fall 2021 lineup for PSU Press Presents, a monthly series of free virtual events featuring authors of new and recent books in conversation with each other. The topics reflect the wide range of topics published by the press, including sensory studies, rhetoric, world religions, medieval studies and many more.

The series launched in 2020 as a way for writers, editors and readers to connect after the in-person author events were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is now a staple in the press. because of its success.

The first event for fall 2021 is “Perspectives on Sensory History,” which will take place at 4:00 pm on Friday September 2nd. periods, and the November event will be a discussion among the authors of new books in archeology published by Eisenbrauns, an imprint of Penn State University Press since 2017.

Other events on the lineup include a discussion of the “rhetoric of privilege” in education, sexuality and race, and a panel featuring new books in the press series “Global Christianity”.
