Something is brewing in Waunakee – Kramer Madison partners with Lone Girl Brewing to celebrate their summer birthdays

Madison, Wisconsin – Kramer Madison, a design-focused and full-service commercial print, direct mail, promotional and fulfillment marketing company, announced a collaboration with The Lone Girl Brewing Company on the design of the packaging for a Limited Edition Birthday Ale.

Celebrating 85 years in business, Kramer Madison was looking for a unique way to commemorate this milestone. They didn’t have to look far. Community neighbor The Lone Girl was working on their own event, marking five years since they opened at 114 East Main Street in Waunakee.

“The story of Lone Girl really resonated with us, I found it adorable. The two owners have seven children. Six boys – and the lonely girl, ”shares Brooke Barney, director of marketing and creative services, Kramer Madison. “We are a business owned by women and our philosophies come together. Our shared values include building relationships, putting the customer first and integrating them into our family while delivering exceptional products with exceptional customer service. It was the perfect project and partnership.

“Craft brewing is our passion and each of our outings has a story. Our Golden Sour Anniversary Ale follows this tradition, ”commented John Russell, Master Brewer at Lone Girl. “It all started with the idea of aging and fermenting this WOODEN commemorative beer, which is a common fifth anniversary gift (if you follow these guidelines). Wanting this to be a unique and special sour kettle, I decided to make two beers, one sour and fermented with our homemade yeast, and the other using a yeast that produces a lot of esters that interact well with the hop. Then I mixed the two. I was going to put it in the wooden barrel, but in the end I liked the crisp, lemony flavors so much that I left it as is. Perfect for a summer drink on the Lone Girl Patio. “

“You got me at beer,” joked Joe Bauernhuber, associate creative director, Kramer Madison. “Finding creative opportunities like this makes designing fun. I’m always up for a challenge and got to work immediately, sketching out several conceptual directions from the bold typography of the handset to vintage designs, eventually landing on a revised Lone Girl silhouette on a gradient fireworks pattern. sparkling. I can’t wait to see (and taste) the final product.

Celebrate with us! The commemorative Golden Sour Anniversary Ale will be released on Thursday, June 10 and will be available for purchase from The Lone Girl on tap and to take away in 16 oz. four packages.
